Accessibility
Every family should be able to use our guides, games and printables, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Here is what we check, what doesn't work well yet, and how to reach us.

What we aim for
We want every page to work with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at large zoom, on a phone, and in light or dark mode. We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) on our web pages.
How we check
- Before we publish changes, we run automated accessibility and text-contrast checks on our pages for parents and teachers, in light and dark mode, at phone and laptop widths.
- We play the games with a keyboard alone, and their pictures carry text descriptions for screen readers.
- Our Grade 2 math worksheets, their answer keys and our NGAT and CogAT practice tests are tagged PDFs: a screen reader can follow their reading order and hears a description of each picture a child needs. The descriptions say what is drawn and are written not to give the answer away; if you find one that does, please tell us.
- Automated checks catch many problems but not all of them, and we have not yet tested with every screen reader. If you find something we missed, please tell us.
What doesn't work well yet
- Workbook sample PDFs are pictures of printed workbook pages, so a screen reader can't read the PDFs themselves. Each free sample therefore has a text version: a web page with the same instructions and questions, a description of every picture and every answer choice, and the sample's answers and explanations in a closed section at the end. The descriptions say what is drawn and are written not to give the answer away. A "Text version (screen-reader friendly)" link sits beside each sample download. Our free NGAT practice test and CogAT Grade 2 practice test are also on the web page and as tagged PDFs (NGAT PDF, CogAT PDF).
- Printed workbooks are made for paper. If you need a page in another format, ask us and we'll see what we can do.
Ask for help or another format
If something on the site doesn't work for you, or you need a sample, worksheet or answer key in another format, email support@reasonwellpress.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll reply.
